Co-Brand Your Site’s Masthead

We offer three options to co-brand your site: by adding your organization’s logo; by adding the title of your organization; or by adding the name and position of a faculty member.

Co-Brand the Masthead Using Your Organization’s Logo

Sometimes you want to either replace the Flying WV + Signature lockup in the masthead with a custom WVU-branded mark (see Example 4 on the Masthead component page), or co-brand the masthead by adding your organization’s logo to the right-hand side of the Flying WV + Signature lockup (see Example 2 on the Masthead component page).

Before you do this, make sure your logo is approved by UR - Creative and that you’re using the correct version of your logo (the text of your logo should be accessible on a blue background, typically white or gold text).

To replace the standard logo lockup with a custom mark:

  1. Upload your logo to your website (do this from the Files tab).
  2. Click on the logo, then hover over the file, and select Edit.
  3. Copy the Public URL of your logo to your clipboard.
  4. From the CleanSlate dashboard, navigate to your Site Settings.
  5. Find the has_alternate_logo field.
  6. Paste the URL of your logo into this field.
  7. Make sure the has_co_brand field is blank.
  8. Save the site properties.
